Skate Lessons 2008

Get Rolling Skate School officially opens on May 1, 2008 when I plan to resume teaching in the East Bay Area through the month of October. Due to lack of demand, I do not plan to schedule regular group lessons; however, I can accommodate student-arranged groups of up to 12 people.

East Bay Lessons by Appointment

About my lessons:

Danville: I am free most Fridays year-round for an 11am or 1pm Private Lesson as long as the weather and my schedule allow. Starting May 1, students who live close enough to meet me in Danville have the option of scheduling a single or a series of evening lessons at 6 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. I'm also available by pre-arrangement on Fridays and weekends in Danville. Read about my 2008 Danville Camp Rollerblade below.

Fremont: Because my Fremont lessons at Frank Fisher Park are the most popular, I make a Saturday visit there about every three weeks to teach students who have scheduled a lesson with me beforehand.

Northern East Bay: On the same weekends I drive to Fremont, I plan a Sunday drive if asked, to meet students on the delicious pavement of Miller Knox Memorial Park in Richmond. This is an undiscovered dream site for skating that people from Alameda to San Pedro should know about.

Lesson Reservations : Read important requirements and information on the Get Rolling Skate School page and check my Current Schedule. When you're done reviewing, click the enrollment link there to contact me about a lesson.

Join me at Camp Rollerblade

Day Camp: Are you a never-ever or beginning skater? Do you know one? Camp Rollerblade is the best and most fun option for learning to skate with other adult beginners in a safe environment. At Camp, new skaters get 5 hours of quality instruction while learning how to brake, roll forward, turn, and more. Sponsored through partnerships by Zephyr Adventures, Rollerblade and regional skate schools, these one-day camps are scheduled across the US. In 2008 I will host a Get Rolling Camp Rollerblade at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville on June 7 and Miller Knox Memorial Park in Richmond on August 19. We require advance regisration from the Camp Rollerblade web site (no walk-ins accepted).

Mini Vacation Camp: If you have time for a more intensive learning opportunity in a lovely resort setting, I will also be instructing at a five-day Camp Rollerblade vacation in Hilton Head Island, SC on May 17-21. Visit the Camp Rollerblade web site for complete details or to register before the available slots fill up! This is one of my very favorite places to get people rolling.

Zephyr Adventures: The Florida Skate Camp and Skating Adventure starts with a 5-day Camp Rollerblade on November 30 - December 4, 2008. Immediately following Camp is the Florida Skating Adventure from December 6 - 10. These dates are back-to-back for a reason! We expect some folks to graduate camp as Advanced Beginners, and be more than ready to embrace the entry-level Zephyr Adventure that opens the door to other skating adventures that have become so popular. At this time, I am scheduled for instruction and guide duty at both of these.
