Dear Rollerbuddy,
I hear you're going to the UK for a vacation! Well, if you have a few days to spend in London, you'd better bring your skates, because you won't want to miss its happening skate scene! It's absolutely brilliant, as a Brit might say, and in spite of recent terrorist events. (See recent messages posted to the LondonSkaters Forum.)
Before you go in person, pay a visit to the web sites I listed below and just try and decide who to join. There are so many opportunities each week to have inline fun in London!
- Citiskate Inline UK: Find lessons, shopping advice, and more.
- The London Skaters site offers great info, an online newsletter and a reviews page for its very active community.
- Urban Skaters is a community for all disciplines. Find out about upcoming events or chat in a forum.
- Do the LondonSkate with hundreds of others each Wednesday, starting and ending at Hyde Park. Or join the London FNS (Friday Night Skate).
- Not sure you're good enough? Contact IISA-Certified Instructors in London through SkateInstructor.com, CitiSkate or Skatefresh to brush up on your skills.
- Ready to teach? Skatefresh offers an Instructor Certification Programme with IISA Examiner, Asha.

I know you're going to have a fantastic visit! Be sure to send me a postcard from London, OK?
